Watch out for the Thought Police! They'll be coming after you. Whitney Houston was a pop singer, for goodness sake. She won some grammies and recorded some songs that made the top of the charts. She made that last for a few years. She was anointed and then, instead of using her status to continue working and gaining artistic freedom, she stayed in the diva rut and went into the inevitable decline that occurs when the next anointed diva comes along and the reining one is forgotten. It is a sad story, but Whitney Houston is not exactly a victim. Bad career management, addictions she could not seem to manage....
