(walt ponders what to do for lunch and considers his options)
I guess it cannot be an update if I have yet to post the resolutions. So first things first:
My 2009 Resolutions
#1 ZERO Fast Food - zero - I will go hungry rather than give in.
#2 Health Care Freak-a-zoid
#3 Take care of "things"
#4 Time is running out - Use it wisely
#5 Kindness and love for others; all others
Now that you have seen them; here is my update for the two week check point, complete with grades
#1 ZERO Fast Food: A++++
I chose the word zero for a reason. It has no wiggle room. ZERO. All I can say is look at my picture. I have been good, but not sure I am happy all the time. I truly miss that 3 seconds of happiness that fast food brings. The CRAVE is still there, but my resolve is still strong
And just in case you are wondering - I haven't figured out pizza yet. Not sure that it qualifies as fast food - I mean it takes forever to cook if you are waiting for one- but a certain spider sense inside me tells me to back off just a tad on my former relationship - that's all I'm saying.
And in case you are really wondering, I've only had it once this year.
#2 Health Care Freak-a-Zoid: B
Working hard, taking my medication, monitoring the BP and taking my supplements. I am hitting the gym with what I call regularity, taking my walks (weather has NOT been cooperating). Am behind on making appointments with professionals and haven't met my inner floss standards yet (but you guys who DO everyday must be GIANT FREAKS, but maybe I will get there).
#3 Take care of 'things': B-
You know me, I am not a material person. The things I am talkin' 'bout here are bidness things and takin' care of bidness, ala Elvis, you know TCB. Doing things right the first time.
Well, I have high standards; all I can say here is that .....I'm workin on it!
#4 Time is running out - Use it wisely: B
Tough one here. Doing my best but it is a chore. Having fun anyway.
#5 Kindness and Love for others; all others: C
Proving to be REAL HARD. Man there are some real JACK-ASSES out there, and you KNOW who YOU are. I am really trying and twice now I have felt REALLY BAD after flipping people off in traffic and having impure thoughts on some real strange sitings. But all in all I am happy with my progress here and feel like a new man.

Totally support the efforts. Good on you making your resolutions public.
Pizza - I'm going to reveal what a boob I am with regards to pizza. Now that restaurants are required to post nutritional values I noted that this place across from work has a individual pepperoni pizza which is about 1,800 calories. I'm pretty sure I have about 5 lbs of pizza on me at least. So good on you.

Pradeep:
That is the kind of information I like to receive on a need to know basis.
Just so you know, right now I am in a "don't want to know" phase when it comes to pizza.
I am still in a scientific denial phase on the relationship between what we eat and how it effects our weight. "They" say it has an effect, but I am waiting until all the facts are in.
okay. Pizza isn't THAT bad for you if you don't cover it in pepperoni, extra cheese, salami, bacon, kittens, etc. You should learn to love veggie pizza. It will make you just as happy and it's way better for you (or so "they" say).
Flossin' - My dental hygienist is a nut, and she suggested flossin' in the shower. Part of my floss aversion is that whole "it's a disgusting action where you drool while you've got your fingers tied up inside your face". Shower flossin' is where it's at
